Our Story

A dependable support community you can trust

Once established in 1998, Kinder Caring embarked on a heartfelt mission to address the unique challenges of caring for individuals in the comfort of their own homes. As a family-owned and managed business, Kinder Caring has remained steadfast in its unwavering commitment to providing exceptional care and support. With a rich history spanning over two decades, Kinder Caring has continuously evolved and adapted to meet the diverse needs of its clients.

Guided by the visionary Founder, Pam Blake, Kinder Caring draws inspiration from her extensive background as a Registered Nurse in various healthcare settings. Having witnessed firsthand the plight of many residents under her care, Pam recognised the inherent limitations of traditional care environments. This realisation ignited her passion to create a paradigm shift, championing the importance of choice and individualised care.

What began as a humble idea has flourished into a thriving enterprise that has touched the lives of countless individuals. With offices now spanning three states, Kinder Caring has assembled a compassionate and dedicated team of over 160 Support Workers and highly skilled Nursing professionals. Each member of the team is meticulously chosen to ensure a perfect match with the unique needs and preferences of the clients they serve.

Kinder Caring is driven by an unyielding commitment to continuous improvement and excellence. In 2003, they proudly became the first organisation of their kind to receive accreditation from the prestigious Australian Council on Health Care Standards (ACHS), a testament to their unwavering dedication to quality and best practices. Building on this foundation, they have since achieved Certification to the Attendant Care Industry Standards (ACIS), further solidifying their position as a leader in the industry.

Notably, Kinder Caring is a trusted Registered Provider for prominent institutions such as the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), iCare in NSW, the National Injury Insurance Scheme in QLD (NIISQ), as well as a Preferred Provider for the Transport Accident Commission (TAC) and Workcover VIC. These esteemed affiliations highlight their commitment to excellence and their ability to deliver superior care and support to those in need.

With an illustrious history driven by compassion, expertise and an unwavering commitment to individualised care, Kinder Caring continues to make a profound impact in the lives of its clients. By providing the highest quality of care, Kinder Caring allows individuals to maintain their independence and enjoy the comfort of their beloved homes, empowering them to lead fulfilling lives with dignity and compassion.

Our History

A dependable support community you can trust
  • In the year 1998, Pam Blake’s motivation was sparked by her invaluable experiences as an RN in a nursing home, where she witnessed first-hand the challenges faced by residents under her compassionate care. Working within the structured environments of hospitals and nursing homes, Pam discovered a disheartening reality—elderly patients were often denied the freedom of choice.
  • Accustomed to a life of independence and privilege, these individuals found their benefits compromised by disability or the impact of aging. Recognising the need for change, Pam firmly believed that a predetermined path from hospital to nursing home did not necessarily serve the best interests of the patients. She was determined to provide feasible alternatives that would honour their autonomy and well-being.
  • To turn her vision into reality, Pam took on the role of a care worker herself. With immense dedication and the support of her friends, she nurtured and grew the business to a point where her efforts alone were no longer sufficient. Driven by an unwavering commitment to continuous improvement, Pam embarked on a journey towards obtaining hospital accreditation, solidifying her dedication to becoming the leading choice for care provision and employment opportunities.
  • In 2003, Pam’s unwavering efforts bore fruit when Kinder Caring proudly achieved the esteemed Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS) Accreditation. This recognition marked a turning point for the business, as word of mouth referrals from satisfied clients began to fuel its growth, eclipsing the need for traditional marketing methods.
  • From its humble beginnings as a small operation managed from a family home, Kinder Caring expanded its horisons, establishing a well-structured organisation with a distinct culture. Throughout its growth, Kinder Caring remained true to the core values that underpinned its original inception, cherishing the timeless principles that guided its journey.
  • In 2004, Kinder Caring expanded its reach to Victoria, warmly opening its doors to those in need in Melbourne. Building upon this success, their sights were set on Queensland, leading to the opening of a new office on the vibrant Gold Coast in 2006. A significant milestone came in the form of Certification to the Attendant Care Industry Standards (ACIS), a testament to Kinder Caring’s commitment to quality and their clients’ trust.
  • Embracing the ever-evolving landscape of care provision, Kinder Caring further expanded its services in conjunction with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), widening their scope to cater to a broader range of needs. 2020 saw the establishment of an office in Newcastle, where Kinder Caring extended their compassionate services to the Hunter area, leaving an indelible mark on the lives they touched.
  • Throughout its remarkable journey, Kinder Caring has remained steadfast in its dedication to providing exceptional care, upholding the highest standards, and adapting to meet the evolving needs of the community it serves.
