icare NSW – Lifetime Care, Workers Care & Dust Disease

icare supports people who have sustained serious injuries such as spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, or amputations resulting from motor vehicle accidents or workplace incidents. It also supports individuals diagnosed with dust-related illnesses, such as asbestosis or mesothelioma, due to occupational exposure. Kinder Caring is an approved icare provider, delivering high-quality, clinically led care tailored to the needs of individuals supported under the Lifetime Care, Workers Care, and Dust Diseases schemes.

TAC – Transport Accident Commission, VIC

The Transport Accident Commission (TAC) is a Victorian Government organisation that funds treatment and care for people injured in transport accidents, promotes road safety, and supports improvements to Victoria’s trauma system. As an approved TAC attendant care provider, Kinder Caring is required to meet all disability provider registration requirements, including mandatory registration with the Victorian Social Services Regulator, and complies with TAC policies and service guidelines to ensure safe, high-quality, and accountable care.

NIISQ – National Injury Insurance Scheme, QLD

The National Injury Insurance Scheme, Queensland (NIISQ) funds necessary care and support for people who have sustained serious personal injuries—such as spinal cord and brain injuries, severe burns, multiple amputations, permanent blindness, or brachial plexus damage—in motor vehicle accidents in Queensland. As a registered provider, Kinder Caring is approved to deliver attendant care services under NIISQ, ensuring safe, high-quality support tailored to each individual’s needs.

Attendant Care Services

Kinder Caring combines 25+ years of experience with a clinically led model that sets us apart. Every program is designed and managed by a qualified nurse, ensuring safe, reliable care for people with serious injury or high support needs.

Support
Workers

Our qualified Support Workers provide reliable, person-centred assistance to help participants live safely, independently, and with confidence. Whether it’s support with personal care, daily living, community access, or household tasks, our team delivers respectful and flexible care tailored to your needs and goals.

Cognitive and Behavioural Support

We provide support to assist participants who require cognitive or behavioural assistance and are unable to complete tasks independently. This includes working collaboratively with behaviour support practitioners and implementing behaviour support plans, strategies, and authorised practices to ensure safety, promote independence, and improve daily functioning.

Allied
Clinical/high level support

Clinical or high-level support services are designed for individuals with complex health needs and may require care from a registered nurse. These supports include complex continence care such as catheterisation and advanced bowel care, complex wound management and pressure care, ventilation and tracheostomy support including oxygen therapy, medication administration, and palliative or end-of-life care.

Our Clinical Care Management Model

At Kinder Caring, our care management model is designed to enhance the safety, wellbeing, and independence of older Australians receiving Home Care Packages. Our approach combines clinical expertise with personalised, relationship-based support that evolves with your needs and goals.

Our Care Managers are all qualified nurses — either Registered or Enrolled — bringing a high level of clinical oversight to every care plan. They collaborate with you and those you trust to ensure your care is safe, suitable, and designed to help you live confidently at home.

  • Initial Clinical Assessment: Every program begins with a nurse-led clinical assessment tailored to the participant’s medical needs, living environment, and personal goals—ensuring the right level of support is in place from the outset.

  • Dedicated Care Coordination: A dedicated Care Coordinator oversees the day-to-day management of each program. This includes rostering and supervising suitable support workers, monitoring service quality, managing risks, and serving as the primary point of contact for case manager(s), families, and other professionals.

  • Qualified Staff Matching: We match support workers based on clinical requirements, personal compatibility, and skills. Ongoing training, performance monitoring, and support are provided to ensure staff meet the participant’s evolving needs.

  • Ongoing Clinical Oversight: Programs are regularly reviewed through in-home clinical visits and responsive care plan updates. Our team proactively identifies and communicates changes in health status, care needs, or risk factors to case managers and relevant stakeholders.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: We work in partnership with treating teams, GPs, allied health professionals, insurers, and case managers to deliver coordinated, multidisciplinary care. We also support the timely provision of consumables, equipment maintenance, and incident reporting as part of our commitment to safe and effective service delivery.
